This time last year, I was dealing with the first stages of recovering from our massive house flood. We’d lost our whole first floor, so the reconstruction would last for 3 more months and the moving-back-in process would last for…
Oh, who am I kidding? We still have a few stray boxes left to unpack. The pandemic upended everyone’s schedules about that time, and let’s be honest, those boxes apparently have nothing important in them and should just be pitched.
Obviously, all that meant my 2020 didn’t start off great, even before the coronavirus changed the world into something we wouldn’t have recognized a year ago. But let’s see if we can end the year on some good news. *grin*

Want a Chance to Win a Free Workshop with Me?
Most of you are probably familiar with the Writers Helping Writers and One Stop for Writers sites. They’re both run by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi, the dynamic duo behind the super-helpful Emotion Thesaurus book (and the whole Thesaurus series).
Enter for a chance to win a free workshop with me! Click To TweetI’ve gushed about the awesomeness of Angela, Becca, their books, and both of their sites many times. I’ve been one of their Resident Writing Coaches since the beginning of the program, and I’ve been lucky enough to have them both guest post here several times as well. So it’s likely no surprise that I’ve partnered with them for this big Advent Calendar giveaway.
The winner of my giveaway will get admission to any of my workshops! Yay!
After my inauspicious start to the year, it’s ending slightly improved for me (notwithstanding recurring health issues and emergency projects that have me tearing my hair out). But never fear, I’ll be back in a few days with one of my normal writing-advice posts. Until then, I wish you all luck in the Advent Calendar for Writers Giveaway! *grin*
